Description: Hello,
I am a beginner to the translation field and am interested in finding a mentor specializing in SP>EN, FR>EN or IT>EN.

Ultimately, I am looking to begin translation work in any field, although I am particularly interested in journalistic, legal and technical translation and getting particular feedback from an experienced translator. I am currently able to work part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.

With regard to my credentials, I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Spanish, French and Italian). I am currently working on my certificate in General Translation through NYU (Spanish and French) my MA in Comparative Literature (French, Spanish and English) at the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. Concerning my work experience, I have completed a number of volunteer translations for a small number of organizations. In addition, I have a number of years experience teaching English language and composition at the high school level. Please take a look at my CV on the Proz.com website to get a better idea of my qualifications.
Please send me a message if you are interested.

Thank you.
