cement block walls

Although cement is not specified in the original, I'm pretty sure this is it.

In the United States, at least, it is common to speak of simply a "brick wall", and to not specify the brick unless it's really necessary. HOWEVER, it sounds funny to say simply a "block wall", since it sounds like one is saying that the wall blocks something, such as a passageway.
In construction, "cement block" is seldom used, because al of the manufactured blocks use cement to bind the other components of the block, such as "pumice plus cement" (a "pumice block"), or sand and gravel plus cement (a "concrete block"). In more general terms, many people just say "cinderblock", even though I don't know of any blocks made with the cinders of coal-fired furnaces since the 1940's.
Hope this helps or suggests industrial sites you may want to access to discover common usage for your context. Block manufacturers and buiding material suppliers will mention the vrious kinds of block, along with lists of components and specifications for reference.
Good luck.

Cinder block wall

cinder block or cin·der·block (sndr-blk)
n.
A usually hollow building block made with concrete and coal cinders.

This I hear all the time. Much more than cement block walls.
Hope it rings a bell.
