El allegro revive manteniendo una sola nota, al tiempo que la cuerda grave se hace cargo del bordón. En la viella, una cuerda, y en la gaita, el roncón –un tubo llamado así por su sonido ronco– emite una única nota, que respalda la otra cuerda que se hace cargo de la melodía. El son, que bailan ninfas y pastores, es interpretado en terceras por los violines.

Not sure though. The bordón can refer to the refrain. If it's talking about different movements of a symphony, it could mean that while the allegro movement is starting up, the refrain (the bit that repeats in music) is being played on the base notes.
