What is a 'flight run-in'? It's a point on a graph showing a flight path.

More context would help, but here is a brief explanation:
On the flight path there is a section which leads to the final entry to the landing pattern. Pilots have to stay on the run-in path to get correctly into the direction of landing (correct angle, amplitude, etc). If the run-in path is followed correctly then any chances of mishaps on landing are minimised... See mention of it below (although the article describes a run-in path to bombing target instead of landing :-).
