Dusica Cook (asker) Jan 2, 2006:
nisam dala dobro pojašnjenje odnosi se na nekoga ko ne može doći do riječi zato što neko drugi previše priča... npr. "ti ne zatvaraš usta, ja ne mogu doći do riječi od tebe!"

depends on what you mean by it - vidi dole

(1) I can't get a word in edgeways - somebody else is talking without stopping, and you just don't get a chance to say anything
(2) I'm speechless/flabbergasted/stunned/floored/dumbfounded - you can't say anything because you're overwhelmed with emotion;
(3) It's on the tip of my tongue - you can't remember the right word (this is probably the least likely option).

Hvala, takodje :)
agree vorloff : Definitely option 1. In the US, it is "edgewise", with an "i".
