cardiologia portuguesa

Medical: Cardiology
I’m trying to find a way to say this in English. “Portuguese cardiology” does not seem to make much sense because there’s no such thing as “American cardiology” or “British cardiology.” At the same time, I don't think I can say “Portuguese-based Cardiology” because it’s not based in Portugal and that to me wouldn’t make sense either.
The text I am translating, which by the way is a nightmare text, is about creating centers for cardiology with the help of organizations and cardiologists from all over the world, including Portugal, hence, the “coronária portuguesa” in the text. Would it be inaccurate to translate this in this context as “Portuguese cardiologists?”
Thanks, guys!

Portuguese cardiology/portuguese cardiologists
I think when it first appears you could say "Portuguese Cardiology in Africa" but in the second line in which appears, your suggestion of Portuguese cardiologists fits better...

Portuguese cardiology practices
This is probably what I would use. I suppose physicians in different countries deal with diseases in slightly different ways - that is, the way they practice their profession varies a bit. If a person has a heart attack for example, what is the exact protocol in Brazil and in the USA? Like in what order are all the different measures taken to try to save the person? So I think adding the word "practices" works pretty well.

Obrigado.

[The Influence of] Portuguese Cardiology [in Africa]
Standing alone, the phrase doesn't make sense, but if you bookend it with some appropriate context, it doesn't sound quite so weird. I did searches on various nationalities+cardiology and did fine a few examples of this type of structure, as if referring to the body of work developed in that country.
