In "1.5 g/g creatinine", what's "g/g" and what does it mean?

As answerers have said, g/g = gram/gram. It means grams of substance X per gram of creatinine. This is usually in urine samples, which can vary widely in dilution according to fluid intake. Creatinine is determined to control for urine dilution.

This means grams per gram. However, I do not see how one could have 1.5g/g of anything. For more about this and other measures see the link below.

maybe "per day" is missing.........
