Spanish term

presión esofágica

Spanish to English Medical Mechanics / Mech Engineering Ventilator
"esto puede ser una **presión esofágica** a través de un catéter de un balón esofágico"

Really I am having trouble with the whole sentence. It's talking about measuring the auxiliary pressure from a medical ventilator.

I'd appreciate your help!

Yes correct, I had to translate it from a video and it was hard to quote perfectly. Thank you very much, you have both been very helpful :)

So: "...this could be esophageal pressure, [measured] using an esophageal balloon catheter"
Wendy Cummings Jan 22, 2007:
Not 100% sure, but I think it may be "Esophageal balloon catheter". See http://www.custommedical.com/products/balloon/ There is also a good explanation at http://oac.med.jhmi.edu/res_phys/Encyclopedia/EsophagealBall...

See the comment in my answer - Esophageal is the American way of spelling Oesophageal, which is how it is spelt in British English.
Neozelatino (asker) Jan 22, 2007:
Is this the same as "esophageal pressure " and could you help me also with "catéter de un balón esofágico" Thanks a lot!!
