presumption
just a proposal, after struggling with quite a number of possible other word

Julie Barber
: I can't see it fitting in. I think it might be something along the lines of 'similar work'

Attorney DC Bar
: Mightn't it just be 'remiscences' or 'recollections' or some such? People "remembering" things in such detailed fashion that the recital of them violates copyright?

borrowing
sounds to me like one step less heinous than simply copying - i.e. plagiarism via too many 'hints' of a protected work of art. I don't know the official term though.

allusion, evocation
Though I think there must be a better word.
A TV series about a home improvement specialist called Jon Quickfixit converting a windmill up a creek into a home from which he might run his private sleuthing operation might be deemed to be a "reminiscence" of Don Quixote.

likeness
i have done tons of these kinds of agreements and the right translation of the term is likeness. so it doesn't have to be the same but alike in order to create possible copyright infringement.
Example sentence:
any use of this material or it's likeness for purposes other then stated in this agreement
Something went wrong...
