I can't figure out what's going on here and would appreciate your ideas.

Ablauf I read "fur den Ablauf des" here as "for the end of".

The way I understand this, if the renter wants to sever the agreement, he has to serve notice by the third weekday of a month. This will start the clock ticking on a nearly 90-day cancellation period.
