conflict on dates

Hola a tod@s!

"This is to certify that XXXX was a graduate of this University in the four-year program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S.Phar.) on ***March 22, 2001*** under authority of Special Order (B) (R-VI) No. 50-6576576-98, series of 2001 dated ***May 11, 2001*** issued by the Commission on Higher Education, Regional Office VI, Jaro, Iloilo City."

(Please see explanation)

Hi María, what apparently looks like conflicting dates at forst site is actually due to the structure (syntax) of the sentence. As I understand it, the writer says that XXXX graduated on March 22, 2001 and was issued his degree ("...issued by the Commission...etc.) on May 11,2001.
I concur with my peers and hope this helps to clarify.
