Stroller resource

English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations
A list of advertising resources (for a public campaign against child obesity):

Poster, brochure, **stroller resource**, calendar stickers.

What does "stroller" means in this context?

Thanks

Michel A. (asker) Mar 3, 2009:
IMHO though I'm not a native English speaker, "stroller" is mainly used here to speak about a baby buggy. But I don't see how they can use that to advertise a public health campaign! Then it must have another meaning.
B D Finch Mar 3, 2009:
Apologies for the comma that slipped in above! It must have been strolling by.
B D Finch Mar 3, 2009:
In Canadian English is "stroller" what in UK English would be called a "pushchair", or is it a person who strolls? It could be a map of interesting places to stroll to and where to stop (and, perhaps graze).
Noni Gilbert Riley Mar 3, 2009:
Thanks Michel. How frustrating those elliptical bullet points on ppt can be!
Michel A. (asker) Mar 3, 2009:
Unfortunately no more context (it just appears as a bullet point into a list on a PPT slide)
Noni Gilbert Riley Mar 3, 2009:
Kim's explanation seems perfectly feasible, and stroller is almost exclusively a baby buggy, but I can't see how it fits logically into this list of yours. You'd expect leaflets or something like that. Any more context which might give us further clues?

advertising space on strollers

This is what I understand by it. See the reference in this article to how www.smartecarte.com plans to hire out advertising space on its strollers. In this case, a company like SmarteCarte would be the provide the resource (space) on the strollers. http://retailtrafficmag.com/mag/retail_spare_change_six/

agree B D Finch : You have stuck to the logic of the list, rather than getting sidetracked into the weight-loss/exercise aspect.

fitness program

Maybe.

Druxman is also the creator of a stroller fitness program, Stroller Strides, ™ a group fitness class that is now offered in more than 200 locations nationwide. Stroller Strides encourages healthy role modeling by providing moms with an opportunity to regularly work out with their child in a stroller.

somewhere to park/hire strollers

Somewhere to park strollers so that the podgy little darlings can get out and get some exercise. Alternatively, somewhere parents of exhausted small children can rent a stroller to enable them to continue their walk.

One could even have a resource that covered both the above possibilities.

advertising stand on wheels

Sorry to add yet another confusing option, Michel, but I think that given the list of items where this appears, it has to actually be an advertising feature itself. I picture a "sandwich board" stand with wheels on one "wing" which enables the thing to be moved ("strolled") to a suitable location. The link will show you what I envisage. Just my 2c worth.
