Dokument dotyczy wizyty kontrolnej przeprowadzonej przez unijne Biuro ds. Żywności i Weterynarii w Polsce, dotyczącej zakazu paszowego (zakaz stosowania produktów pochodzenia zwierzęcego w paszy z uwagi m.in. na BSE).

Requirements that farms wishing to purchase such materials (organic fertilizers and soil improvers, mixed with lime) must obtain prior authorisation from the local level of the Central Competent Authorities and be subject to regular inspections and sampling following the delivery of each batch, should reduce the likelihood that organic fertilizers / soil improvers will be *diverted into feed.

(...) Although measures have been introduced aimed at increasing the type and severity of sanctions which may be imposed for non-compliance with the feed ban or the requirements for use of organic fertilizers / soil improvers, these have had little effect and there continues to be a financial incentive for products of animal origin to be *diverted into feed.
