légère précontrainte

Magazine article
magazine article reviewing a training shoe described as:
chaussure d’entraînement asymétrique avec une ** légère précontrainte**, permet des prises précises tout en procurant un confort élevé.
That's all that's said in the article about this particular product (apart from its name which unfortunately is of no help at all).
I've found socks, T-shirts, shorts, gloves, ... with light compression, but not shoes - do you think this could be the first? Or does it mean something else?

I think something like: sports shoe with a light 'initial tension' [sth. like that, putting up the shoe's solidity + resistance in order to guarantee a perfect comfort + grip).
Just a guess... ;-)
