can you give a little more context? What is it about? A sentence or two on either side might help. It sounds as though it is almost saying that globalization has made distance irrelevant, brought everything closer together or has ironed differences out.

I mean, the equivalent of a the phrase could vary in style depending on the field of the context, that is, many of the phrases gien above are quite accurate but we should select them if the text is technical as it requires a straighter translation
Example sentence:
