English term

Base Trim Weight

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
I have no context, just that it can be "front" or "rear". It is a list of specifications.
Also I have "Trim Curbo Weight".

Thanks a lot for you help!

Discussion

Sergio Campo Mar 3, 2010:
Not much then... In my opinion, the meaning of "Base Trim Weight" should be the one I gave in my answer. The other terms in the list are maybe even more difficult to decipher (does "seat-additional rear" refer to a number of additional seats or to their weight) with absolute certainty.
Good luck.
Natalia Rivera (asker) Mar 3, 2010:
Sergio, it is just a list (one column in excel). I have no vehicle name nor values of weights. Just that. That is why I say I have no context. These cells are not headers, they are just independent cells. Thanks!
Sergio Campo Mar 3, 2010:
more context Natalia, context is always useful and you probably have more of it that could help. For instance:
What kind of vehicle are we talking about?
What are the values of weights given in the list?
How many versions (or trims) of the vehicle does your document show? Does "Trim Curb Weight" have a numerical value after it or is it just a header for the next lines? (if so it would refer to the net weight of those elements of trim listed below it)...
Natalia Rivera (asker) Mar 3, 2010:
No context cranesfreak, it is a list of specifications, as I stated on the question:
Standard Weight - Front
Standard Weight - Rear
Base Trim Weight - Front
Base Trim Weight - Rear
Trim Curb Weight
Seat-Additional Rear
cranesfreak Mar 3, 2010:
context Natalia Rivera, just to receive better answers and confirmations. You should write what is written above and below the requested phrase even if it is not useful context for you.Kind Regards :))

T - Trim level

Trim level - This indicates the level of equipment which comes with the car. The trim level is usually indicated by several letters such as LX or GLX, but some makers such as Renault and Mercedes prefer names such as Dynamique and Privilege or Classic and Avantgarde. The higher the trim level, the more equipment will be included in the price.
