To answer your question, it's exactly like the difference between "engraving" and "deep engraving" in English. According to the Arabic phrase, I would leave the word "deep" as it is. The word "deep" gives a stonger meaning than just "engraving" alone and it corresponds also to the original meaning.
If you put this English phrase in a search engine, you'll find out that these two words are combined in several web sites.
