I am not sure how to make sense of 'en primer término' in this context.
La faena de exportación para Chile, debe efectuarse **en primer término*** durante la jornada diaria de trabajo.
(I have: Slaughter for export to Chile must take place **** during the working day.)
And later, in a model certificate:
La faena de animales de exportación para Chile, se efectuó ***en primer término*** durante la jornada diaria de trabajo.

: I don't want to be disrespectful at all or step on your toes, but doesn't primarily mean mainly and not "the first thing in order"? Primeramente in Spanish does mean the first thing.

I think that "primarily" is exactly what "en primer termino" means here (i.e., "primarily" during the work day, but implicitly--secondarily--at other times).

I think you will be safe. Mr. Forstag is clearly a competent translator. I just asked because of what I thought initially and the definition of "primarily" in the Oxford dictionary - I thought it was only used as "mainly". The first thing that came to mind is that it was a span-English translation, but he is a native English translator and has a background in literature. As said, you will be safe with his suggestion.
