Tienes razón, la frase es un poco forzada en inglés. You cannot encourage someone to have an opportunity, you can only give them an opportunity.

: You have an advantage it seems. But I don't see how the 'facts' = su experiencia // I'm aware of the fighting in Libya - I haven't experienced it though. Soy consciente de la guerra en Libya pero no lo he experimentado.
