Hi all,
The above acronymn is proving difficult in this translation: I used "single member company", although Im not sure this is correct.
La necesidad de dicha operación de re-estructuración deriva del hecho de que la citada unidad económica se encontraba anteriormente disgregada en distintas personas jurídicas integradas en el Grupo xx, concretamente las sociedades xx , xx y xx S.A., Sociedad Unipersonal ("SCT")
Thank you all

"SCT"
Look carefully at your text and the words used. I think this is simply the term defined for one or more of the companies or units previously described. I have never seen this term used for a single member, or shareholder company.

single-member company
According to IATE, the translation for sociedad unipersonal is single-member company or "one man" company. I have found more hits for single-member company. This term is also used in documents for the European parliament.

: neither of your links will work, but I am wary of Eurobabble translations as the Spanish, and EN (speaking) systems are so different; I would retain the Spanish and give this explanation in brackets, despite what IATE says

Sociedad Unipersonal [Spanish Sole or Single Director Company]
A similar entity can be incorporated in UK or Ireland, but of course the Spanish system is quite different. For that reason I would retain the Spanish.

: AT, in Spain a Sociedad Unipersonal is a Single Member Company if it is an S.L. or Single Shareholder Company if it is an S.A. In the two cases they become xx, S.L.U. or S.A.U.
