FINDINGS/AREAS OF POTENTIAL IMPROVEMENT

- KPI’s and goals are defined, but there is no evidence of detailed action plans at production department level to reach their goals ( identified projects with progress trackers).
- Process engineer is building a powerful excel file which is used by manufacturing controller to provide KPIs on cycle time and SRC ( Second Run Capability ); there is no evidence that the process engineer is using it in a systematic way to define improvement actions through analysis of the data.


RECOMMENDATION

On top of KPI’s definition, each production cell should
o identify key actions which will be critical to achieve goals,
o define project trackers with role, responsibilities and timing
o and follow them up on a monthly basis.’’
