Italian term

"I.M.T.A."

Italian to English Other Law: Taxation & Customs Sale of used car
"ed in regola con il pagamento della tassa di proprieta e di revisione I.M.T.C. completa di tutta la documentazione dovuta..."
The abbreviation "I.M.T.A." appears on a form for purchasing a used car. Has anyone encountered this before please? I can't find the meaning anywhere so far.

Thanks, Maggie.

Patrick - I did mean "I.M.T.C." but the text was very difficult to read and I typed I.M.T.C. incorrectly. I think your suggestion was exactly right so thanks very much. Phil - I did mean I.M.T.C. so I'm sorry but thank you both for answering so quickly. Maggie

I was talking about 'IMTC', which is what I thought you were asking about based on the context you gave....but if not, then please disregard

Maggie Please clarify which set of initials you're asking about.

is it 'IMTC' or 'IMTA'? --- I've seen 'MTC' as an abbreviation of 'Motorizzazione Civile' --- The 'I' could be 'Immatricolazione' or 'Iscrizione', perhaps? --- I've seen people mentioning 'I.M.T.C.' as some kind of provincial/municipal red tape involved with purchasing and/or registering an automobile. --- just a thought...not sure enough to post a proposed answer
