Please help me translate "отказаться в пользу" in the context of the following sentence:
Выгодоприобретатель вправе ОТКАЗАТЬСЯ от причитающейся ему по договору (полису) страхования суммы страховой выплаты полностью или частично В ПОЛЬЗУ страхователя и/или застрахованного лица по договору страхования, их наследников либо иного лица, в случае указания на него в договоре (полисе) страхования как на выгодоприобретателя второй очереди.
Is it possible to use "relinquish... in favor of smb" or "assign to" in this case?

: There's everything wrong w. this phrase.You can't "wave" the premium here since it's not a "premium" in the first place (it's an insurance payout) & the preposition use (to rather than for) is highly suspect.For the benefit of is a more nat. way to put it

sorry, to the benefit of insured, and, obviously, their instead of his/her. Now it's better? And what you mean as an opposite to the premium, is called in Russian "vozmeshenie" (payout), never "vyplata', which is the premium
