Creo que lo mejor sería no detallar qué clase de taller es (al menos que por el contexto se lo pueda definir). Por el contexto infiero que se trabaja con materiales peligrosos (quizás químicos), ya que se mencionan las "data sheets" (podría hacer refrencia a las MSDS o material safety data sheets, las cuales contienen toda la información necesria sobre los productos químicos, consejos de manipulación, etc.). Resumiendo... voto por usar una traducción "general".
