From a lease agreement:
En caso que “LA ARRENDATARIA”, por cualquier causa, pretenda **consignar** la Renta, o cualesquier otra prestación económica, se obliga a depositar dicha cantidad en un tribunal competente del Distrito Federal.
Asimismo, “LA ARRENDATARIA” se compromete:
(i) a informar a “LAS ARRENDADORAS”, dentro de un plazo de 5 (cinco) días, el tribunal donde esté **consignando** la Renta; y (ii) a continuar efectuando las consignaciones en el mismo tribunal.
I should mention that there is a separate clause specifying the lessors' bank accounts into which the lessee is to deposit the rent and other payments.

Nice one! My dictionary does have "escrow" as a verb but I wonder if "pay [...] into an escrow account", as per your great reference might be best? Either way, your answer seems spot on. Thanks Cyril :) |
