Spanish term

inducción de ingreso

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Human Resources
Even after finding several online documents that contain this phrase, I'm not sure how best to translate it into US English. I suspect there is a standard HR phrase for it.

My source document is an occupational safety and health manual from Argentina. The phrase first appears in a checklist item:

"Capacitar al personal para el examen de Inducción de Ingreso, en prevención de accidentes en general y en particular en las tareas específicas que desarrollarán."

Thank you!

Induction course

Clearly this is a serious training course if there is an exam or test at the end!
I think just 'induction course' ould cover it, as this already implies that it is for new employees.
Or you could be more specific and put 'health and safety induction course'.

Induction training

It is not really a course.

You are trained beforehand in safety and rules and regulations in your place of work. At the end of the training you might be asked to fill in a questionnaire demonstrating your understanding.

Thank you, Cecilia. Your explanation is clear.
