Italian term

la licenziataria attesta di riconoscere

Italian to English Other Law: Patents, Trademarks, Copyright legal
Buongiorno,

Grazie

the licensee warrants that it is familiar with

It's conoscere, not riconoscere.

In other words, the question header is wrong.

agree Sebastiano Massimo Barbagallo : also "declares"/"acknowledges" may be considered

Yes, thanks.
agree Thomas Roberts : That actually might make more sense, though it's a pretty banal clause to include in a contract

Very gracious of you! Yes, they're hardly likely to obtain a licence from a company they're not familiar with.
agree Linda Thody : definitely!

the licensee hereby warrants that it will recognise

or

the licensee hereby undertakes to recognise
Peer comment(s):

agree FinWord : precisely because the literal translation seems too banal to be believable...

neutral Sebastiano Massimo Barbagallo : I do not think so. It is rather a previous knowledge of the Licensor's products

the licensee acknowledges that it is familiar with

Perhaps this clause has the puropose of clarifying that the licensee is familiar with the products of the licensor. It acknowledges of being familiar with them, which means it cannot say subsequently that it did not know their characteristices/specifications upon the signing of the contract.

"attesta" is out of place. It should be "dichiara", "dà atto", "riconosce". La licenziataria dà atto di conoscere, dichiara di conoscere. I think "acknowledges" is a good option.
