Italian term

criminal investigation
This is an examination of a suspect at the "Tribunale ordinario di XXX" under the Direzione Distrettuale Antimafia.
The transcript "verbale" refers to "L'Ufficio", for example, "L'Ufficio contesta dettagliatamente alla persona sottoposta alle indagini ...".
Is the "Ufficio" the court, i.e., an examining magistrate, or the prosecutor? The text also refers to the Pubblico Ministero, so I'm wondering if the "Ufficio" refers to the same entity.

Selected
the prosecution
It refers to ufficio giudiziario which can be either the PM or the court, but in this context clearly refers to the prosecution

Comment: "It seems in other documents in the same job that Court was meant, but it is confusing.
Thanks! "

It's the office of the Direzione Distrettuale Antimafia doing the interrogation. It's actually a judge acting as the state attorney, but it's not the court, in the sense of the word that the English connotation carries
