I don't think so Nick The lintel is above the door and this is traditionally where signs, numbers and other markings are put. A mullion, from what I can see is nothing more than a decorative divider in a window, too thin for anything to be written on it, and it is vertical. Just my humble opinion. Just Google "old door lintel and take a look at the pics.

Lintels makes more sense but... ...maybe mullions (although I doubt it) especially on a door.
