ASKS

Non-PRO English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
There is a text with the following format (Note that # represents a digit)

contact Company X at: ###- ###- ASKS (####).

I expect "ASKS" can refer to some abbreviation?

Please help me what ASKS means here.

Thank you.

This may be from the US what you have is a phone number
first three ### area code and they have converted the last four digits into a word, the four numbers in parenthesis should match each letter (think of an older telephone keypad)...if this is correct then the last 4 digits should be2757...
The only thing that I could find was 'Automatic Station Keeping System', which seems to make no sense here. ASK, though, yields more abundant results, about 30 in number, so it's looking for a needle in a haystack. http://www.abbreviations.com/ASK

ASKS

It's just part of the phone number. Google for telephone numbers including letters or similar. I'm on my phone so I'll leave you to try that.
Peer comment(s):

agree Sheri P : This is exactly right. It's a phone number shown with the letters corresponding to the numbers on the keypad. Presumably, ASKS has some meaningful connection to the business or service that owns the number. ASKS seems to be the 3rd sg. of the verb "ask."

agree Tina Vonhof (X) : Many organizations try to have that kind of number because it is easier for people to remember.
