Spanish term
nulas de nulidad absoluta
Spanish to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
Isn't this a double negative? Either way, I haven't come up with a neat way to phrase it.

I have seen literal translations (from the French, "nulle de nullité absolue") but I'm not convinced.
Your suggestions are appreciated!

void/null and void/void ab initio
In common law systems we use these terms to describe something which is void from the outset - the case here - roughly nulidad absoluta
We contrast this with VOIDABLE - which means it is valid unless voided - roughly equivalent to nulidad relativa
See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Void_(law)
"Black's Law Dictionary defines "void" as:[1]
Void. Null; ineffectual; nugatory; having no legal force or binding effect; unable, in law, to support the purpose for which it was intended.
The dictionary further goes on to define void ab initio as:[citation needed]
Void ab initio. A contract is null from the beginning if it seriously offends law or public policy in contrast to a contract which is merely voidable at the election of one of the parties to the contract."
There is a rough equivalent in civil law systems with nulidad relativa and nulidad absoluta

rendered... "null and void"
Matches in intent and legalese. Legal term,(see 1st link),
both words are there to ensure that their is no ambiguity. This practice dates from medieval law I believe, "cease and desist" is another example of this "belt and braces" approach in the legal system.
See 2nd link for this point.

vitiated from the outset by absolute nullity
I daren't write vitiated ab initio in case someone accuses me of plagiarism cf. trespass ab initio e.g. when someone gatecrashes the Miss World competition.
Vitiated is a way round the double 'voidness'.
Vitiated is a way round the double 'voidness'.
Example sentence:
a mortgage registration which, under the relevant national law, is vitiated from the outset by absolute and incurable nullity such as to render that registration non-existent.

Thx. Incurable is what the Spanish for insanable in the eur-lex web ref. and FHS Bridge's FR>EN equiv. French entry says. But I wanted to keep the answer short.
