I am translating an employment contract and am not sure how to translate the phrase de alta y de efecto into proper English legalese.
Here is the context:
Se informa que cuando las fechas de alta y de efecto no sean coincidentes, se tendrá en cuenta esta última para determinar el número de días en alta a efectos ce los derechos relativos a Seguridad Social.
