: an elevator pitch doesn't normally refer literally to elevators, it's a short sales pitch. There might be some play on words here, but it's difficult to know without more context, and the pun could refer to pitch as much as elevator.

Discussion
Should I have added the above information in my original request ? Maybe. To my defence I asked this question on a Sunday afternoon, at the end of a particularly long and hectic working week, hence fatigue may and in fact did contribute. A simple search on proz would indeed have sufficed, as Frankie pointed out.
Do I deserve the repeated attempts at sarcasm? Absolutely not, so go look for another target.
Bang in the middle of a blank piece of paper, right in the middle of a empty screen, in some non-descript font and size and colour, you have no idea who put these words there, nor who is meant to read them?
If that's the case, I believe you there's no context.
AFAK no one bothers translating authors who put words "randomly" in their offerings - this "Elevator pitch" is most likely exactly where it should be, and what's after it (and possibly also before it) should give a pretty good indication of the intended meaning.
