broad label

Non-PRO English to Spanish Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals publicidad
En un comunicado publicitario sobre el lanzamiento de un nuevo fármaco, pone:

"In short we believe XXX is a fantastic product and are delighted that this is now being made available to patients.
The broad label provides us with the opportunity towards unlocking a brighter future for people with depression and we would like to congratulate the US team on leading the way with this great achievement."

badial Doing a bit of research I have come to understand that broad label means that a particular medicine (pharmaceutical) has been approved to be used for something more/other than what it was originally approved for. See here:

The only equivalent I have been able to find in Spanish is:
La Comisión Europea (CE) ha aprobado la ampliación en la indicación para su uso en pediatría de Zonegran(R) (zonisamida),

If this is in fact correct then you can say something like: la ampliación en la indicación para su uso nos da/nos provee la oportunidad (etc)
