This must be where I came in.

And, yet, the entire American political class and diplomatic establishment insist we must stay in Iraq and finish what George W. Bush started, even if it was premised on lies, self-delusions and grandiose dreams of omnipotence. To do otherwise would be to embarrass our leaders, cause the U.S. government to lose face and imply to the world that Washington lacks resolve. Excuse me, but this movie's been shown before. I believe I hear the 1960s calling. This must be where I came in.

Tak tady jsem pocítil potřebu vstoupit do diskuse.

NEBO: Tady už jsem byl nucen se ozvat.

Ahem, not even to enlighten us?
neutral Radovan Pletka : I agree with Zenny. If the asker was happy with the poor answer, why bother. Man has to know his limitations (-:

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.

I beg your pardon?

All I did was to register my disagreement with the answer provided by somebody else and to point out the fact that you awarded points too quickly.

If you want to dispute my claim of inappropriateness of awarding the points within minutes of the first response, then do it.

If you don't see that you, asking for free advice, should have refrained from saying anything since you didn't see any merit in my saying you acted too quickly and didn't want to address that issue then perhaps you do need enlightening, although it has nothing to do with translating. I certainly don't appreciate your snide remark.

I must apologize to Milos Prudek who pointed out he is not the author of the remark. Since I almost never use the feature, I didn\'t realize the response to a grading comment comes from the responder, not the asker. Once again, my sincere apology goes out to Milos Prudek.
Peer comment(s):

neutral David Daduč : Zenny, (1) I did not award points quickly: I provided free advice; (2) your "disagree" is supposed to be related to the translation provided (and was taken so). This probably caused some misunderstanding. I'm sorry about that.

I knew you didn't award points, but gave advice. I already cleared up my misunderstanding of Milos authoring the remark. You don't have to be sorry for my misunderstanding. Yes, I disagreed with your advice and with Milos' hasty acceptance of it.
