Italian term

Il pianto era pronto e valido

Italian to English Science Medical: Cardiology Paediatrics
This is from the report of the birth of a baby to a woman with atrial fibrillation (and being treated with the relevant drugs).

The from the examination of the newborn:
"Il pianto era pronto e valido"

Something to do with crying I assume. Is there a standard phase for this?

good cry

"good cry", "strong cry" or "vigorous cry" are terms that are often used for the Apgar test after birth. I am not aware of any statements on "prompt" crying, don't think this aspect is usually covered in English reports (or, else, it is included in "good").
