Italian term

ipermeteorismo enterocolico

Italian to English Medical Medical (general) Radiology
It is a diagnosis from a radiologist in Venice.

I had kidney stones (granules rather than stones)

Diffuso ipermeteorismo enterocolico.

That's fine, glad to help :-) <br />You can just select any answer (Judy's would be my preference), so that this query can go into the general archive and glossary.
paddingtonbear (asker) Nov 28, 2014:
Thank you so very much. You have helped me a great deal.
Not sure how to "reward" you because it doesn't come up with "select this answer as most helpful" but I am very grateful to you. : )
Anne Schulz Nov 25, 2014:
Translation into normal speech: Lots of bowel gas present [this could render the interpretation of some aspects of the x-ray difficult, but is usually not abnormal]. Stools present in left colonic segments [normal]. No radiopaque stones visible in the abdomen [radiopaque = calcium containing; this qualifier is included because some stones, in particular some gall stones, do not contain calcium and therefore generally do not show up on x-rays]. In the x-ray obtained in standing position, minimal collection of gas is visible under the right diaphragm [this could be residual from some previous problem or simply an artifact, but in the worst case it could indicate bowel gas escaping through a perforation, or a bacterial infection/abscess in the abdomen; hence the following statement:]. Presence of free gas in the abdomen was excluded by performing CT scans. Enlarged liver. No calcium deposits [no calcium-containing stones or sludge] in the gall bladder. No focal lesions [no tumor, cyst, abscess, obstruction] of the pancreas. – Your kidney granules may have been too small to be visible on the x-ray.
paddingtonbear (asker) Nov 25, 2014:
Sorry I didn't see the other answers:
Excessive abdominal distension.
paddingtonbear (asker) Nov 25, 2014:
Yes I could. I know there were calcium granules in the kidneys but not kidney stones. I have narrowed it down to this I think:

Widespread enterocolic hyper-meteorism. Presence of faeces species along the colonic segments of sn. No images from calculations radiopaque. The scan shows glimpses of minimal subdiaphragmatic collection of air to the right. Performing scans tac that exclude das free intraperitoneal. Enlarged liver. No calcium deposits in the gallbladder. No focal lesion of the pancreas.
Anne Schulz Nov 25, 2014:
@paddingtonbear It seems you could use a general translation and interpretation of your report?
Angela Guisci Nov 24, 2014:
@paddingtonbear
