√ Sebenarnya, penghentian dan pemutusan sama-sama menjadi termination di dalam bahasa Inggris. Penyusun naskah sepertinya ingin membedakan antara pengakhiran alami ("penghentian") dan pengakhiran paksa ("pemutusan") karena mungkin memiliki akibat yang berbeda (denda, dlsb.)

Di dalam bahasa Inggris, baik termination maupun discontinuation bisa alamiah, bisa juga paksa. Karena contoh u/ termination sudah sering ditemui, surjaya berikut menunjukkan penggunaan discontinuation pada kedua situasi.
