Japanese term

消失は肝血流律速の代謝と考えられている

Japanese to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals pharmacokinetics
[drug]の消失は肝血流律速の代謝と考えられているため,腎機能は有意な共変量とならなかったと考えられる。

From a population pharmacokinetics study.
I understant that drug metabolism is or can be dependent on the hepatic blood flow rate, but I can't see what is meant by 肝血流律速の代謝. Is it perhaps something like 'metabolism at the hepatic flow rate';

and could 消失は肝血流律速の代謝と考えられている perhaps be something like 'elimination was viewed in the same way as metabolism at the hepatic flow rate'?

Another example:
[drug]と同様に**肝血流律速の代謝**を受ける静脈麻酔薬プロポフォールを高齢者に投与した際にも薬物動態に性差が認められるという報告があるが,性差の詳細な要因は不明である。

clearance is thought to be dependent on metabolism determined by the hepatic blood flow

In this phrase, the clearance [消失(薬物の)] is thought to occur due to "metabolism" (in the liver) and metabolism is "determined (regulated) (律速)" by the hepatic blood flow
Peer comment(s):

agree Marc Brunet : would you agree with: ..dependent on the metabolizing effect of the hepatic blood flow?

clearance is by metabolism limited by hepatic blood flow

"clearance is by metabolism limited by hepatic blood flow"
My wording here is a bit awkward but I think the gist is that the metabolism of the drug is determined/limited by hepatic blood flow.
