A tentative title in the context of a forthcoming photography exhibition.... Easy enough to translate, but expressing the correct nuance is the province of the maternal Francophone. The idea is that the photographer is exploring a theme which is highly personal to him/her, eg the death of a parent, the birth of a child, or even with the photographer as observer, eg in charting the progress of an athlete, schoolchild, etc.

Discussion
the "un" specifically makes a link to the photographer...it says something along the line of "his own" not yours. Quite often used in french in expressions like "XXXX, un certain regard", "YYYY, une certaine idée de la France".
It adds some "intellectual" note to it.
I've used it because there was one in the term entry.
