Another baseball metaphor. Any help will be much appreciated.

"Healthy couples “have no-trade clauses (there’s no hot stove league in marriage;) you can’t just trade up when things get tough or someone gets into a slump."

Sounds acceptable to me. Although, the usual Spanish nomenclature is "traspasar" not "trasladar". About "hot stove league", I don't know if your translation grasp the expression exactly, but on a broad sense it may fly...

My solution Sorry, but I didn't go for either of these suggestions. This was my final version: "Las parejas que gozan de una relación sana tienen “una cláusula que prohíbe trasladar un jugador a otro equipo (no existen equipos informales en el matrimonio); no se puede buscar mejor jugador cuando se presentan dificultades o cuando el equipo está pasando por una mala temporada”.

Deberías hacer otra pregunta para "hot stove league".

Se trata de un término o expresión por pregunta.
