How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

James Arthur Williamson (asker) Jan 21, 2016: Thanks for your input Valentina. Since my first note, I had already realised that emittance is a property of the particle beam and found that admitancia is in fact used by Spanish authors in relation to sub-atomic particle capture.
Valentina LG Jan 21, 2016: ¡Hola! Mi granito de arena: primero que todo, no creo que «emittance» sea lo mismo que «acceptance». La primera es una propiedad de la fuente, la segunda del detector (y describe algo como la eficiencia del detector). En cuanto a «admitancia», la he visto usar solo en el contexto de circuitos eléctricos y no en el de aceleradores (pero no he hecho una búsqueda a fondo: si tienen algún ejemplo concreto de uso con esta acepción, se lo agradezco). Por lo que he visto, en castellano se usa «aceptancia» tal cual (un calco, evidentemente, pero muy usado). Si quieres te paso alguna fuente.

slothm Jan 20, 2016: Si mi memoria no me falla, la admitancia es la facilidad de un circuito para el pasaje de la corriente. Coincido con Forgas.
