Tests
The context does not make it possible to know whether these are written or oral tests.

: I suspect it perhaps is oral (see discussion box). However the term here is not clear enough for asker to be more precise than "test" IMO

: Often, but not always, oral, so this is th best solution without further context.

: They could also be written tests not necessarily oral ones.

: I would say the DSTs are written and these are oral exams. Also in Italy we use the term only for oral exams or tests.

viva voce
An oral examination consisting of having to answer oral questions.

: an "interrogation" can be written or oral. Not clear in this context.

Nikki Scott-Despaigne
: "viva voce" back translates quite well to "soutenance" and is thus for an oral on a dissertation or a thesis which can probably be ruled out here.

Discussion
In higher education there are regular oral tests called "colles", or more formally "interrogations orales".
However, the term in itself is not clear enough. So I personally would just say "test".
