در جوشکاری از اصطلاح سنگ گرفتن و سنگ کاری هم استفاده می شود.
یعنی آن گوشه هایی که جوشکاری شده است را صاف کنید. زمان جوشکاری قطعات محل جوشکاری کمی ناصاف و زبر می شود منظور اینجا سنباده زدن و صاف کردن ناصافی ناشی از جوشکاری است.
