Hola:

Tengo una duda respecto a la traducción de "funcionario del registro civil"al inglés del Reino Unido. Sé que existe la palabra "registrar", y que se usa para designar al jefe del Registro Civil, lo que no tengo claro es si se puede usar también para el funcionario raso.

Contexto: "X y Z han contraído matrimonio el 3 de septiembre de 2015 ante el funcionario del Registro Civil de Madrid.
Firmado: El Funcionario del Registro Civil"

Just registrar In the UK a registrar is not the head of a register office; it's any official that makes registrations, so it is the equivalent of a funcionario del registro civil. The head of a local register office is normally referred to as the head registrar. Some small local offices only have one registrar, who is just called the registrar in that case. The titular head of a registration district is called the Superintendent Registrar (at least in England and Wales; I'm not sure about Scotland), who has formal legal responsibility for the registrations in that district. The titular head of the General Register Office is the Registrar General.

In a UN document they translated "funcionario del registro civil" as "civil registry official"
