running with the ball

Not to be mistaken with dribbling, which specifically involves taking the ball past opposing players.

: Or even "sprinting with the ball", but that's not quite it either, I feel "conducción" implies a little more than simply running with the ball; there's direction, purpose, intent to advance or create (everything that English players don't do ;@) ).

check this link: https://www.thepfa.com/coaching/coaching-tips/running-with-t... If it's good enough for Jimmy Armfield, it's good enough for me.

: i.e. getting from A to B with the ball under control. A training circuit with cones etc. is or can be called a circuito de conducción. It also seems to refer to how the foot touches the ball while doing so.

NB: En castellano también se dice "regate"... En general, yo diría que "conducción" se trata de "ball control" (control del balón)...

Creo que "control del balón" es la mejor opción...

: I agree with James' take on dribbling below, and I think "conducción" is just one aspect of ball control, others include trapping, chesting it down, etc.

Spanish term (edited):
(Lat Am?) CONDUCCIÓN
driving forward
Whilst admiring both of the previous answers, I can't see how this differs from driblado and regate, unless this manual is from a Latin American country. So I've decided to add other ingredients to the spicy Spanish mix.
I also considered and discarded 'soccer agility weave' as a zig-zag variation of the art.

conducting
Conducting implies management, as in to make sure the direction and trajectory is right.
Example sentence:
His main concern is conducting the trajectory of the sphere
