Discussion

Nikki Scott-Despaigne Nov 19, 2016:
@Eileen 2 My two questions are :

- are you translating a "bulletin scolaire" or a "relevé de notes"? If it's the former, it is a school report; if the latter, then it is an official transcription of exam/continuous assessment results
- what information do you have to confirm that your context has something to do with special needs?

Both of these are important, independently and together. If these points are not clear, then you may be off target in your udnerstanding of the overall context.
Nikki Scott-Despaigne Nov 19, 2016:
@Eileen Hello, We still need to have some original context. On a results sheet for a Bac Pro, you can find the same term : CCF-APT.

I'm a little concerned without context. If this is a bac pro, then that is not a special educational needs course, but part of the ordinary baccalauréat programmes available. If there are special educational needs (which there can be at any level of education), that will be apparent from other context.

Otherwise, for the rendering of CCF-APT, then as Katsy points out, it renders "contrôle (des connaissances) en cours de formation", in the UK that can be understood as "continuous assessment".

If the documents you have is a "relevé de notes", which is not a school report, but an official transcription of the official results, then this document may help : http://y.feat.free.fr/Docs/NotesBacPro.PDF
Beneath "EDUCATION PHYSIQUE ET SPORTIVE " and then "OPTION : CCF-APT". The suggestion posted, with the addition of "contôle de" gives you the correct meaning.

katsy Nov 18, 2016:
@ Cristina absolutely. Saw your note but just as I was posting!
@ katsy right, see my previous Explanation Note added at 24 min
katsy Nov 18, 2016:
@ Eileen The operative word is "contrôle" (des connaissances) en cours de formation. "Continuous assessment" is a possibility
EileenF (asker) Nov 18, 2016:
So, "connaissances en cours de formation" translates as ....?

APT is presumably something like "Physical activities for all"
philgoddard Nov 18, 2016:
And if you'd Googled it, the previous question is the first hit.
