English term

cash drop

English to Spanish Bus/Financial Cooking / Culinary Pizza restaurant

they might drop the money off in these collection boxes but it could also mean that they have to go to a specific collection office or collection point to do so... it's a little ambiguous

One definition of "cash drop"-
In many cases, a driver or server may be carrying more money on their person than you would prefer. The Cash Drop option allows you to take any amount of money from the employee, place it in a secure location, and reflect that action as a credit to the employee's cash responsibilities.

Just an observation. This entry speaks to "blind drops" (where one suggestion as shown in link below is "entrega de efectivo" (another included "ciega").
I am in two minds whether your suggestion of "entregas de efectivo" is sufficient, as one would think that being a "smaller" establishment like a pizzeria as opposed to a casino, the cash drops would entail a "known" amouunt of cash to be put into safekeeping, i.e. 10 x $20 = $200.00. It implies, to me a "counted" amount (balanced/known?) amount prior to its safe keeping.

GLOSSARY ENTRY (DERIVED FROM QUESTION BELOW)
English term or phrase: blind drops
Note from asker:
Yes, that is the purpose of a cash drop in this context. The driver does not "drop" all the cash he/she has, he/she still needs to keep some for change. In any case, the driver counts and labels the money being dropped, probably inside an envelope, similar to the cash deposits in ATMs. In this way, there is double-check and control of the money being transferred.
