I'm looking for help with a word which appears over and over again in the architecture text I'm working on. The meaning is crystal clear. What I'm looking for is an elegant way of putting it in English. I have rephrased and juggled sentences to circumvent the problem but an academic sounding alternative would be much appreciated!
L’attuale millennio si apre con una sperimentazione tipologica ardita, fatta di ibridazioni e montaggi che trovano nell’urbanità il loro senso ultimo
Dick van Gameren, ha fatto di questa complessità tipologica una propria poetica personale, fin dai primi lavori realizzati con il gruppo de Architectengroep.

You could say typological too, but it's not a word you can keep repeating like the Italian does.

As Phil suggests, you could use a number of different words for variety. Scholarly types of people like to talk about "taxonomies"so this is another option.

General Considerations
I know that one of the more enriching and greatest advantage of this platform is meeting virtually people with different linguistic backgrounds, translation theories and methods.
However, it seems to me that the asker given contest is not taken from a nice novel.
Architecture is a very technical field. By "juggling" too much there is a high potential of losing the Italian original meaning(s).
In addition, repetition is more an English feature that an Italian one. In fact, repetition is normally far less used in Italian (for stylistic reasons) than in English.
