anterior epidural fat
I think it refers to this.
Example of MRI report:
" At L5-S-1 large posterior disc bulge encroaching anterior epidural fat with bilateral extention into the inferior neural foramen."

Small posterior bulge of L5-S1 disc indenting anterior epidural fat. Aug 18 ... what is a central disc protrusion at L5S1 indenting the ventral epidural fat

I've got nothing against the previous answer, it took me a while to find references as I was looking for as accurate a translation as possible, so I didn't notice it until I was posting. I have tried to find a term used in MRI reports.

fatty tissue in the anterior epidural space

In the spine, the epidural space (from Ancient Greek ἐπί, "on, upon" + dura mater also known as "epidural cavity", "extradural space" or "peridural space") is an anatomic space that is the outermost part of the spinal canal. It is the space within the canal (formed by the surrounding vertebrae) lying outside the dura mater (which encloses the arachnoid mater, subarachnoid space, the cerebrospinal fluid, and the spinal cord). In humans the **epidural space** contains lymphatics, spinal nerve roots, loose connective tissue, **fatty tissue**, small arteries, and a network of internal vertebral venous.

Epidural fat is not evenly distributed. At cervical level fat is absent while in the lumbar region, fat in the anterior and posterior aspects of the epidural space forms .
